forgingahead is a several year old project to stimulate my creative side.
I've been shooting pictures off and on for nearly 50 years. I began with a Kodak Brownie Holiday and specialized in taking pictures of people with the tops of their heads cut off! Oh, that sounds wrong...but I think you know what I mean.
I live and work in the Capital Region of New York State.
I have a varied kit. My primary camera is a Sony Alpha 700 which is supported by the kit lens (18-70 mm), a Minolta 50 mm f 1.7, a Tamron 28-300mm, a Tamron 90mm f2.8 macro, and a Sony 11-18 mm.
I also recently added a Fuji F20 to my kit for an easily pocketable P&S camera with great low-light capability.
I still shoot film, though not on a regular basis. I have a stable of three (yeah, three) Yashica Electo 35's, because I love the fast 45mm f 1.7 lens and it took three purchases to find one that worked perfectly. I also have a vintage Pentax K-1000, but the meter is not working.
At the North American Photobloggers meetup in Chicago, I joined the Holga world, but have not really spent much time with it.
